If you had stayed a chemistry major you could whip us up a big
batch of ACID and we could all drool while listening to the Moogs... :^P
I'd add... Bob did not ~ever~ let a component do just ONE thing...
A resistor was simultaneous current limiter, load, bias current
source...
etc.
Try to change any one component and you are screwed. The circuits simply
don't have the extra parts to have independant parameters.
Bob found the best sounding trade-offs and went to production. THAT is
the
magic right there.
(actually... don't tell anybodt but I'm more of a Paul Schreiber fan...
if he needs four resistors he uses them, screw the cost. I LIKE that in
a designer :^)
