Looking at schematic of Farf Pro "PP/222", I see 2 transistors, 8 resistors
and 3 capacitors in each frequency divider. One of the caps is at the
"input" of each frequency divider. Looking at my organ (Farf Pro "PP/221"),
I only see the weird part and one cap (the "input" cap) in each divider.
There's also some components on another small circuit board near each
divider, but according to the service manual of "PP/222", they are
components of the sustain circuit. Also looking at the electronics, it seems
to be so. So it really would seem, when comparing the schematics to the
electronics, that the weird part has also the rest of the components inside
it. Luckily there's a photograph of the frequency divider on the service
manual of "PP/222". In that picture I see, on the place of the weird part, a
small circuit board (sticking up from the main circuit board) containing the
divider transistors etc. My organ has the large holes for these additional
mini circuit boards on each divider, but the weird part is soldered on
these. I think I could actually also use a mini circuit board part from a
"PP/222", if I find somebody with a completely broken "PP/222". I think I
could also build that mini board myself but I'd like a simpler solution.
However, I'm not sure if simply replacing the weird part with two
transistors would work, or can a frequency divider work with just a one cap
and two transistors and nothing else?
