Just a heads up... I'm finally biting the bullet and getting some j-wires
tested to find out what they are made of.

Its kinda funny, a few months back we were talking about them here and I
started looking for a metallurgy place to test the wire. I couldnt find one
that wanted to talk to a lowly induhvidual so I shelved the idea for a
while. This weekend I rebushed my OB-Xa and realised that it really really
needs new j-wires, so I asked my sister ( who used to be an electron
microscopist ) if she knew of anyone, of course she reminded me that my
brother in law works for Hitachi-HTA and has a lab full of gear for doing
just this sort of analysis... *sigh* Sometimes I just dont think.

Anyhow, soon as I have the analysis I'll let y'all know. I'm willing to bet
that phosphate-bronze guitar strings will be perfect replacements, but the
machines will let us know.
