Well, since I was planning to do it anyway once the thing was finished,
I've put all the info up on my website ...
http://burnit.co.uk/sdiy/index.php?page=boxotrix
I want to order the PCBs next week, so please let me know ASAP if you
want one.

Yes, and full schematics on the link above. There's nothing exotic or
hard to get hold of. A couple of THAT chips, everything else is very
standard stuff. You can use an LM3914 instead of the specified LM3916
(will be better actually, I just happened to have LM3916s lying around).

It will run from a standard 15VAC 500mA wallwart. It doesn't need this
much current, but if the wallwart is rated lower it will probably need
to have a higher voltage (e.g. 18VAC).

The compressor and gate units will work with anything from line level up
to much hotter (there's plenty of headroom). The gain of the
compressors is set by the Make Up Gain controls. The gain of the gates
is 1.
The distortion units will also work with anything from line level up to
much hotter - just set the Drive controls appropriately. The output
levels are quite hot (~10V ptp), but can be attenuated with the Volume
controls.

It's taken from a couple of THAT design notes, and a 'linear enough'
slew limiter circuit that Harry Bissell emailed me.
