If you are looking for a pin-for-pin replacement, you're probably stuck with
NTE.

If you are looking for something that may work in the same circuit with a
little tweaking, you might want to hunt down one of the last schematics
Thomas Henry posted about abusing the 8038 function generator in the same
method as the 566.  It looks feasible in, say, the Clangora schematic to
replace all the 566's with 8038's.
