[sdiy] conductive plating - was: conductive rubber layer on PCBs??

gold plate the pcb? now THAT would go great with the ivory case and the 
diamond knobs!
no seriously,  i didnt have any luck finding something to rub-on a gold 
plating or whatever conductive yet non-corrosive materials exist.

come on guys, this is SDIY!
someone must have already done this - the solution to the problem is 
probably so obvious that i dont see it...
