There are not so many sources of mod info for the digital TR machines
such as these. Typically these are PCM bends, pitch controls, and
possibly new voice chips. I was experimenting with my 707 along these
lines a year ago with some interesting results, and am trying to get
back into it now. I have documented my 707 mods here:

I have poked around and tried weird connections extensively and never
had any problems.

Now you are talking! There are way, way more things you can do to tweak
the sound of an analog drum machine. It so happens that there are more
mods on the web for the 606 than any other drum machine. I am sorry to
hear that you haven't had a good experience with the Analogue Solutions
kit, I don't know much about that one. I don't have a 606 and no info
on hand.
