IMHO its not the conductive material that is the tough part... its the
ribbon.   Low noise, not too bad mechanical wear...

If you need to make something over a long length, the ribbon will have
to be stretched REALLY tight which means heavy mechanical base.

and as you know... all your base are belong to us...
