I'm waiting for that responce.  Probably anything over about 200mm.  I
hoping to find something in the half-meter length if possible.

They are not sheets, they are fully manufactured linear potentiometers.

I may play this weekend with some very large antistatic bags.  I happen to
have 20 or 30 almost meter square bags which might be suitable, I havent yet
tested their linearity with the idea of doing a ribbon controller.
