A few months back someone else had posted an inquiry about building an exact
duplicate of a Minimoog. One of the replies suggested he build something better
but didn't make any suggestions. For lack of a better name lets call such a
beast the Ultimate Minimoog. What are peoples' opinions on what would go into
making the Ulltimate Minimoog? Or has someone already built it? I'll set down
some general parameters but hey, even these can be changed.
1. Designed to be a performance instrument
2. Nonpatchable (ie, not made of modules that need to be patched to make it
speak)
3. Relatively portable - same general size and weight as Minimoog
Let fly with whatever you like, don't like, how you'd make it better, etc, etc.

I would like to build a compact Minimoog (or another simmilar moog-ish model)
with no keyboard (CV/Gatecontrol).
This guys site: www.meadowfield.freeuk.com/synth/mini.html documents his
recreation of a minimoog and shares his schematics. However, he does not have
PCBs (and hints that he will not share his "artwork") nor does he show a
finished working synth.
I have no experience routing PCBs yet so I am trying to find projects with PCB
designs already available.
I really want to build a synth that will faciliatate Boards of Canada style
riffs.
cheers,
Danjel
