There are a couple of ideas. I'm making a hybrid additive synth and will
use CAN to communicate with the many oscillator and mixer modules. Another
thought is to replace the control patch cords in a traditional modular with
a CAN bus. I don't think there is enough bandwidth for the audio signals, but
those could be patched with a CAN controlled matrix switch.

This particular board is meant for experimenting, so it's hard to say exactly
what people will be using it for, other than it's something interesting worth
exploring.

I'm also working on some smaller modules with the attiny26/mcp2515 combination
and will try out the at90can32 as well when it's available.
