the wood pieces in the case have a 'tongue and groove' type of construction,
and I can't get exact measurements without literally tearing the case apart
(and it's NOT my Mini!). The case on the Mini is REALLY solid, and cross
pieces are glued into place. It's not something that will come apart without
breaking first. I can send CAD models of what I have to any interested
parties (you have to have some software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks that is
capable of loading and displaying a 3D model).
I have made some assumptions and guesses along the way, but I think my
models are VERY close. I've also had some help and hints from Kevin
Lightner, who has several Minis in his shop, and who was able to measure at
least a few of the 'hidden' bits for me.
Anyway, it's an ongoing project, and it's going to be another month before
I'm able to put out some drawings for general comsumption. I have the case
modeled, and now I'm working on the 'upper half' with the panel, knobs, PCBs
and whatnot.
