Well, I still haven't found my magical resistor source yet. The best that I
have discovered so far is Opamp Electronics (www.opamp-electronics.com), the
same people that are responsible for the eBay auction that I posted earlier.
They have them for $.99/100, unfortunately they dont have the complete E96
series available, so there are still a few values that I need. I did purchase a
bunch of other parts from them as well, and I am quite happy with their
service, so I don't hesitate to recommend them.

As far as a group order goes, I would probably not be the best one to handle
this, as I only need a few values myself and I am located in Canada, so the
logistics would kinda suck. However, if a good cheap supplier were to be found
I still would be willing to do this.

For which values to choose, I would assume that the preference would be for the
closest values (in 1% E96) to the E12 series and maybe expanding to the E24
series as well. There is a chart of these values here:
s=&postid=407597&stamp=1086175020>

Of course there would be a much higher demand for the most common values: 1,
10, 100, etc..., so more of those could be purchased.

So when do the suppliers start blowing out their non-lead-free parts for cheap?
It's too bad that all those cool OTAs were discontinued before this, it would
be nice to find them at a heavily discounted price as well.

Take care
Doug
