First off, would this be easier using alternating LEDs and photosensors?
Note that every other LED in the matrix is off and so I'm guessing those are
the ones that are being used as detectors. It looks like the unit shown
works just fine, but wouldn't it make more sense to use parts built to be
detectors as the actual detectors?
 And what would you control with it? Well, THE WORLD of course. Mmmmwwaaaa
haaa haaaaaaa! But seriously, I'd think the ideal would be to have an X-axis
CV, a Y-Axis CV, and maybe even a Z axis CV. The Z axis wouldn't have a lot
of range, but it still might be useful. Oh, and a trigger output. Oh, or I
guess it put out MIDI instead of CVs. Or MIDI in addition to CVs.
