Perhaps there's a problem with microphonics going on with a tube in
the preamp stage. You may need to either replace the tube or cover it
with a damper (if so, make sure that it's one that will dissipate the
heat!) Do you know for certain that reverb and tremolo are definitely
off? Not by the switches and knobs on the front panel, but is there
something shorting out somewhere, causing a signal to get through
somewhere when it shouldn't?
