 I use a BK Precision 2120B, 30mhz dual and love it. i don't think i paid more than about 400 USD brand new.  You can also get scopes in this range that have built in function generators, which is a nice bonus.  If you go ebay, make sure to note if it includes probes, and also make sure to check shipping cost, those old Tektronix scopes weigh a ton, i know, i have one, and you need a crane to lift it.
