[sdiy] ethics of suppliers/rant

I know you asked Harry, but if it were me, I'd get some kind
of time frame from the seller and wait that plus a fudge factor.
Each situation may be radically different.  A single guy in his
garage is way different than a guy with a wife and 3 kids. I don't
know what goes on when other people do deals, but I do know that
when people start to bug me without mercy, I have a tendency to
not want to answer the phone or emails from that person.  It's 
important to set expectations right up front so that everyone has
a grounding in the same reality dimension.  If those expectations
aren't what you are willing to accomodate, then do business with
someone else.
