[sdiy] ethics of suppliers/rant

Hi To All
 About a year ago I found myself interested in synth stuff after
a long period of pursuing a real career (medical electronics)
To save time and design work I decided to buy pcbs and other
selected items from people off this list. Big mistakes on my part!
After about a dozen or so transaction I have found the clear
majority to have ended in simple fraud. Or at the very least   
a complete arrogant and uncaring dishonest attitude.
Is it just me? Does anyone else here have this experience?
What is it about this list? I am perplexed. Also believe me when
I say it is not really the money I have lost. It is the pain in the
ass about it all! I have made a pact with a friend to slap me really
hard if I have the urge to buy from the synth-diy group.
I now understand the synth-diy idea, that is I must design and
fabricate anything I want. I can do that, progress is just slow due
to limited time on my part. I will do all future projects myself.
 Having said all that let me just say that the above rant does not
include elby designs. Thanks Laurie for being such  a reputable business
person.
