Hello, I have the pdf specsheet for the 1S1588 diode if anyone wants to see it. Nothing particularly unusual about the 1S1588; it is a very commonly used inexpensive small silicon switching diode. 1N914 or 1N4148 should work well as a replacement. Cheers, Mike
