Hi all,

In my never-ending hunt for obsolete parts,
there's of course always some by-catch, like with
fishing for shrimp. Sometimes an old boot,
sometimes a real gem.
Out of a surprise box that I recently received,
came things that I've never seen before and
therefore made me curious.

No.1 is a military surplus board with - for me at least - mysterious function.
It's a small PCB with eight copper spools, all
connected to 2-position rotary switch.
to be seen here: http://www.vintageplanet.nl/pics/parts/PCB.jpg
What the ... is this and are those spools useful
for anything in this day and age?

No. 2 is a number of 8-pin relays of obvious
sturdy (somewhat archaic) quality, visible here:
http://www.vintageplanet.nl/pics/parts/Relais.jpg
It's hard to establish it's exact part number,
with all these markings on the side:

RELAIS 1470‡
SM 26 E3 S6-41
1860 0548 159

Who can satisfy my curiosity?

Thanks,
Senso
