It might be for me. I have hardly any musical experience, and am trying
to understand what kind of music I want to make. This means that I want
to try really diverse tunings. Also, I like for signals to often be
outside of the normal hearing range, using subsonic and ultrasonic for
modulation. Being able to use pitch bend data for many of my signals
sounds handy. I guess it might be excessive, but I am trying to think a
bit ahead.
Still, the PolyDAC has always appealed to me. I am sure that it is more
accurate than anything I have used before.
