I recently got ahold of sonar, cubase, and live as part of the emu 1616m
software bundle. Sonar came without a manual, but is the easiest of the
three to use. Not crazy about the layout, but very functional without
alot of hairpulling. Live made me furious, not because of quality or
innovation which it has plenty of - but that without paying more $
functions like arranging etc do not work. Seems like a bit of a scam to
put it in as part of the software bundle.... Spent half of the weekend
feeding CEM modular synth voices into the 1616m and then editing them on
sonar.

Yo,
I need to squeeze an opinion from y'all: My bootleg
copy of sonar 2 no longer works. Since I'm not poor at
the moment, I thought I might purchase a real copy. I
can get the home edition for under $100. Is it worth
it? From what I saw with my (eh hem) 'demo' copy, it
seems worth the dinero. Whadaya think?
