[sdiy] Cheap Midi->CV

I tried to order an EFM one but had a bit of an.. incident.. which resulted 
in my money being refunded. So I am looking for alternatives. I was thinking 
of the Paia one (which actually costs a little more than I wanted to spend) 
but I read on another thread that it has poor resolution and can be off by 1 
or 2 semitones?! Hmm...
