Moog Opus restoration project is about 75% finished. Refinished wood is looking excellent. However, shiny wood next to dull, flat face doesn't look so hot. Someone suggested degreasing the face and applying lacquer. Local hardware shop manager warns not to. Says lacquer will dissolve the paint. Obviously some Armor All would look great for about a week, but it would feel oily and be rather ghetto. Thus it is not an acceptable solution. Any ideas?
Also, though not too bad, there are a few scratches inside the large "MOOG" log on the rear of the chassis. Has anyone ever tried touching this up?
