[sdiy] Bad parts!

Paul,

The resistance is 0 ohms for 2/3 of the shaft travel then abrubtly jumps to 
about 50K and stays there for the remaining travel. On some the resistance 
would go back to 0 after the 50K part. Also, when used for a volume control 
there is major scratchyness.
