Now that I am including a PolyDAC in my synth I'm gonna need a MIDI
controller. I shopped around a bit and saw lots of cheaply made toys with
big price tags and limited functionality. After doing some research it seems
I can get an entire used early 90s workstation synth for much less money
than a new controller. I know many of these workstations had really flexible
kbd assignments. Some even had half-decent synth engines under their hoods.
It would be cool to have a MIDI controller KBD with a synth to tinker with
when I'm not soldering.
So here's what I'd like to find.

Kawai K5000, Yamaha SY series, or Kurtzweil K2XX. I will consider an old
Korg T series although I believe they are totally sample playback. :(

If anybody has one of these instruments and wanna sell for cheap please let
me know. Also, please recommend any other workstations from this era that
are suitable MIDI controllers.

I can't afford to buy anything till the Navy coughs up my uniform allowance
next month :)

Thanks!

M. A. Ruberto
