I never pursued it, just a thought really. I still think it's 
interesting. However, maybe the better way would be to break up Roland's 
24 PPQ signal into individual steps and delay the even steps by some 
number of clock pulses, instead of a continuous amount. The it would be 
a factor if tempo, instead of being independent of it. Or maybe a 
voltage controlled shuffle is the ticket....
