Seeing that was an odd experience for me.  About 30 years ago I got a 
letter from Carmine asking to talk to me about some "concepts" he was 
working on.  I wrote back but never heard from him again.

I had never heard of him either before or after that (although I knew about 
his companies, of course).  So you have cleared up a 30 year mystery for me!
