[sdiy] Poly 61 near death?

Anything with ni-cads in it should have them removed and replaced with
something better really soon. By the time you spot the leakage, the battery
has already vented over a much larger area than visible. With time, this
entire area will corrode. This includes PCs, laptops, synths etc. Basically,
ths use of a nicad is a manufacturer's dream - it ensures the customer will
need a replacement within a few years.
You will need to clean and neutralise the affected area asap.
