[sdiy] has anyone ever made their own Nord Modular?

at this point it's impossible... two main reasons:
A. the nm OS is closed source
B. the patch/"sysex" language the NM uses isn't public info

the B reason has been a bit of a problem since a lot of people have wanted
to make ports of the editor.

however, if you dig around enough i'm sure you'll find someone who has
probably made a DSP modular synth that is just not as extensive as the NM...
even with a team of multiple engineers/programmers the first nord modulars
must have taken quite a while to design in the first place.

for the price and time of building something like the NM you could just buy
a micro modular [and they're more than worth it!] :P

Just curious if anyone has built a box with DSPs, converters and an OS in it
that was comaptible with Nord Modular patches?

Basically a DIY Nord Modular?

cheers,
