Wow. The TIL311 wins the prize for the funkiest appearance. Somehow it looks
like it's from both the future and the past.

As tempting as it is to geek out and make a hex display, I'm still leaning
towards making a 1.5 digit decimal display - just because I think it would
be cooler, I guess. I believe I've also worked out the logic to hack Ken
Stone's display adapter
(http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgs12_displayadapter.html) so I can have
my display show 1-16 instead of 0-15.
However, the strange look of the TIL311 is making me reconsider...
Also, thanks to everyone else for all their suggestions - all very helpful
and all very seriously considered... I'm glad to see that there are still
some alternatives out there.
By the by, I'm considering using this display for a 16 step sequencer
(hacking the EFM SEQ2 to be more like a Milton), or to display the Bank and
Wave of the Miniwave I'll be buying soon.
