[sdiy] Trigger pulse length

My recommendation would be to use a Schmidt trigger buffer (or 2 
inverting Schimtz trigger buffers in series), plus a diode, capacitor 
and resistor.

Here's what I mean ...

(circuit varies depending on the polarity of the pulse.
