Did he try alldatasheet.com already?

The Cypress part, however, (after a bit of googling) seems to be
compatible with AM29516 (16x16 bit parallel multipliers, same as HMU16,
LMU16, IDT7216, CY7C516), which in term is available via
alldatasheet.com; HMU16 datasheets available from
http://www.intersil.com/data/FN/FN2/fn2803/

Similar thing can be found for the E1330, which is more commonly known
as SED1330 and, voila, alldatasheet.com has it again.


Regarding TL4810, that one is obsoleted and it's already a couple of
years ago that I was able to buy some very last ones from a "regular"  
supplier. Your friend might have more luck with searching for the
A6810/TL6810 -- or go for a still available MAX6920, which is no drop-in
replacement, though.
