[sdiy] "The" Buchla at Mills College

Here's a weird one for yah.

So, a friend of mine is going to Mills College.  Being a synth-geek he of
course hunted down The Buchla.

Its status : It doesnt work.  Paperwork is hard to find on it, they may have
some but its missing or very scarce.  Whats worse is they mostly dont care
about the unit.  However, they are interested in it working again.

They also have a largeish Moog system that is in use for classes.  It has
several VCOs out.  I've volunteered to work on them if only to get access to
the Buchla.  Personally I'd love to work on the Buchla too, but I also
realise that this particular machine is part of Electronic Music's heritage
and there are definatly people better qualified to work on it than me.

I guess I'm sending this email to see who would be interested in working on
this guy for probably little or no money.  Perhaps I'm hoping that Buchla
himself or people who work with him might volunteer.  I know there are a lot
of people who'd love to know details of the modules in it so at least
I can try and document whats there.
