[sdiy] I've bought the knobs

When I noticed that the 100 pieces price
was very much lower, I simply ordered them from Maplin. (So, sorry
for not waiting for all replies - and thanks for any hints, even when
they come late.)

Now this will definitely be the knob for my "Matrix FX" project.

BTW, at first I though of using the EMS-style knobs (again), but this
will
have a black front panel, and the F11 knobs look much better on black
background.

Why black?

(1) I don't have to pay for paint in the engraved lettereing and tick
marks
on a Schaeffer frontpanel. (Natural aluminium letters in black anodized
aluminium.)

(2) I'll have M3 bolts pressed into the back side for mounting PCBs this
time. (That's a first time for me!) Black panels will less likely show
marks
from this procedure on the front side.

Still haven't decided on slide switches. Hard to find 3 position
switches with M3 mounting.
