Well, its Tom, not Tim who wrote the books (I WISH I had the circuitry
experience to write those books). And whether the subject matter is widley
applicable or not isn't the point. The point is, Thomas Henry put a lot of
work into these books and he deserves to make a reasonable profit from
selling them. Thomas has also done a lot of other things (like selling parts
and posting schemos at MAP) that really helped the SDIY community. I think
it just comes down to us synth geeks kind of looking out for each other. I
mean, if I saw someone selling unauthorized copies of Harry B's "Breadboard
and BBD Audio Hi-Fi cookbook," I'd... well... I guess... to tell you the
truth, I'm not quite sure just what the heck I'd do. ;) But seriously, there
are several people on the list who make money from selling synth-related
stuff, and I think we owe them our support wherever possible. Again, it's
just synth geeks looking out for each other.
BTW, I think you're idea for electronic distribution is great!
