indeed I meant the Tom and not the Tim

It's a bit like making towels with the initials TH and hoping to make
a living out of them, isn't it? ;-)

I'm not negating his help, he surely is a great person. However, if
he's so fond of the SDIY community, why does it seem he puts money
over sharing?
Still, I acknowledge his work and wish he could make every penny he
needs. But pointing out that SDIY is a *difficult* and unreliable
market isn't really rocket science....

I think it comes down to this:
1. can you get this elsewhere?
2. if you can, does it cost more than 1500% its real value?
3. if it does, do you still respect the maker/producer/writer enough
to look out for his rights to this piece?

note that 2 and 3 are not related to Tom.

Indeed! Then tell me what's better for synth geeks:
1. book publisher gets abducted by UFO and book is lost forever
2. book publisher gets abducted by UFO and someone offers photocopies

again, entirely not connected to Tom!

You can reach this link over to Tom:

8)

however, in the help, we read:

[Does Ebooks Corporation accept titles from individual authors?
[
[The overhead for managing an individual author account is massive and makes it
[difficult for us to provide the same level of service that an author
would experience
[if they were to work with us through an agent, a publisher or an aggregator who
[can better cater for the author's needs and provide us with more
titles for the same
[overhead. For this reason, we have rationalized our licensing
activities to focus on
[publishers, rather than authors and work through the traditional
supply chain with
[publishers or aggregators.

so I dunno....

cheers,
D . 8)
