This is pre-Creative Labs Emu. It's a 1/2U piano module. MIDI controlled, you call up presets, transpose your key (great if you can't solo in Gb or B like me) and MIDI channel by spinning a knob on the front, and some of them sound pretty good. There's also a built in hokey-dokey "demo" that shows off the sound of the unit--some sort of Liberace madness--man the s%$t is burning!
That's the good news.
Here's the bad news. Occasionally the thing seems to auto-magically choose the "honky tonk piano" sound--you know, a piano-meets-chorus sort of thing. I have no idea why....I figure one of the rotary knobs on the front is intermittently NG or something. Maybe something completely different. So it's not 100% but probably can be fixed, but it is guaranteed to change sounds when you least want it to. So this needs to get fixed, or maybe not. Anyway. it's **Free** to a good home. Includes 9V wall wart that has duct tape remnants all over. Hell, I'll even pay the shipping if you're inside the US. Email me offline...first come first served. Get a piece of Emu history while you can.
