FWIW, if memory serves, if it's a K2000, a service engineer once told me
it's a bad part that will always work loose, if it's a bad one. Mine's
dodgy, and is scanned during boot-up. If the CPU sees it, it works fine
until the power goes off. If not, it doesn't work at all.
