[sdiy] MIDI-CV accuracy / Volt-a-meters / etc

Personally I don't see the point in this much accuracy in a MIDI-CV.
It's a nice engineering exercise but can anyone actually hear a 1 cent
(0.000833V) tuning error? I would have thought that 4 1/2 digit
accuracy would be enough for even the most super-tuned person. In any
case I doubt that any VCO is stable enough to benefit from more
accuracy. As an example, the MOTM 310 is quoted as tracking <0.05% and
drift <0.5Hz/24 hours.

Surely the *only* way to get more accuracy is to go 100% digital, then
everything can be clocked out with quartz crystal precision .. and is
this a good thing?

Seb
