[sdiy] Speaking of Paint

Since the subject of paint has come up.

I'm sure everyone has had old test equipment ( WWII vintage ) that had that
nice black crinkle finish paint.  I've found some crinkle finish spray paint
but I'm wondering if people have had hands-on experience doing just this
sort of finish.
