Or boil a can of Coke for 5-10 mins (pour it out of the can first!), 
then let it sit for a bit.  Even the worst burnt on mess comes off real 
easy then ..   works on steel pots as well.  Hate to think what it does 
to your insides when you drink the stuff ..!
