I thought so.

I have seen banzai effects has them:

I was already considering getting other parts from them, so I might get the pots also.

Forget cleaning them. Its only works for a short time with these 
particular pots.

Marshall know there was a fault with them and have changed them on 
current models. All the early 90s Valvestates have this problem so I get 
to see a lot of them.

I would replace the pot. Contact the local Marshall Amplification 
distributor and you should be able to get one easily enough.
