[sdiy] equalizer

Hi guys,

I'm looking to build my own DJ mixer [as, frankly, nothing on the
market is anywhere near what I'm looking for.... :( ]

the first step would be to build a good equalizer: something that's
four-band and can totally cut out each one of them. I'm looking for
the same kind of thing that's in, for example, the Pioneer DJM-600
(this one's 3-band, though), or the Vestax DCR-1200 PRO (which is a
stand-alone equalizer).
The Pioneer's EQ, for example, drops the whole band to -36 dB. Without
weird resonance. Nice!
I haven't personally used the DCR-1200 PRO, but from stories&tales it
seems it's the thing I'd want in my mixer.
No, I'm not buying 6 of those >:( ;)

I've searched the archives, but not come up with a lot of stuff....
some nice reads queued, though :)

If anyone could point me in the right direction, perhaps assist me...
[I've never made a complicated circuit like that, but I'm definitely
NOT shy of my soldering iron ;) ]

Best regards to everyone,

Damian
