Here are a idea for a new oscillator!

Photoluminace oscillator:

Take a B/W camera CCD, (not the camera just the CCD cell),draw a
waveform of your taste on a piece of white paper, now expose the 
drawing for the CCD, wich means clock the CCD trough all of it cells,
then when all the CCD cells has ben clocked trough block the CCD photon 
inputs with something, then connect the CCD's output to its input and now
the "image" would be circulated at the frequency of the CCD clock!

The wave are sort of frozen and then circulated in the CCD to generate a
continously evolving waveform! (requires a CCD who has a serial input).

Now make the feedback path variable and it become a expencive BBD delay cell!
