> Look around a little bit and you can find clear coat spray in matte
>(semi-gloss) finish. I've purchased this before at Orchard Supply Hardware
>(a hardware store where you can actually find help, unlike Home Depot where
>I refuse to go anymore). Clear coat MIGHT be available in flat finish too.

Ditto on Home Despot. I seem to remember somebody saying that the clear coat
aerosols tend to yellow after awhile and I've heard also that when these are
applied to bare metal the result can be cloudy looking.
Has anyone tried Everbrite:

It sounds like good stuff from their description. However, I have no idea
where to buy it for a test.
I think I will go intot he phone book and call some Harley Davidson shops
and see if they can recommend something. After all, bikers have to protect
all that polished metal with something.
