I haven't done air wiring yet, I get worried that something will short.
Toolwise I am also a bit limited so far as enclosures go. When I try
some tube circuits I'll do air wiring.

It took me about ten seconds to think of a "circuit layout" for my
Kraakdoos, so in this case a PCB would have been extra effort. Unless I
wanted to make a STEIM style unit with the contacts etched from the
circuit board. I knew I wanted to make a cluster of big metal knobs,
which are brass drawer handles. Lately I have been thinking about
another unit with banana jacks so I could try more varied body
contacts, various electrodes. I just mentioned PCBs because avoiding
moisture in circuits got me thinking about them

There have been a few completely non-working lumps in the past, but my
1998-99 "box of shame" is mostly filled with improvised AM radios! Gave
me a whole new perspective on tuning my VCO. :)
