[sdiy] removing the sy-1 from a yamaha csy-1

Hi
 
I have come across a yamaha csy-1 which from my searching is an organ
with a sy-1 synthesizer built in. I have a friend who is in the know
when it comes to this kind of thing but he is not familiar with it so
can't confirm if its possible or not until he sees it.............i know
once he looks at it if its possible to remove the synthesizer he will be
able to help me do it though. I was hoping someone here might be
familiar with the unit and be able to give me some idea beforehand if it
is going to be something that can be done, the unit isn't small so i'd
rather not get it hauled all the way home and then find out i can't do
what im thinking of.
If it is im thinking of building it into a custom box etc.
Any help\suggestions would be really appreciated ;)
