[sdiy] TB303 CPU update, still not working

I got a CPU for my 303 (NOS part) that was missing it, I have installed it and the 303 is still not working, it is missing some pots and the mix in jack, would this prevent it from working? (I have these part on the way) When I press start the LED lights up but nothing else, any ideas?
