[sdiy] newbie questions: ribbon cables

just stick the crimp-DIP itself in a cheapo leaf-socket to use the  
vise method - bend over the leaf-socket's pins first, and the crimp- 
DIP's pins will be protected inside it.  just be careful when pulling  
them apart again.
